Areas of focus: Corporate finance and business valuation

Walter is a Senior Consultant with over ten (10) years’ experience in corporate finance, business development and organisational development. He has been involved in assignments in Public Private Partnerships (PPPs), feasibility studies, market studies, due diligence and business valuation, institutional assessment, salary surveys and strategic planning.
He has served several blue-chip clients including Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF), General Electric (USA), Mitsui, PwC Japan, World Bank, IFC and Berenschot of The Netherlands. He has also served local firms including SMEs with a range of consulting and advisory support services. He has also worked on several government projects. His concentrations are in the real estate, hospitality, manufacturing, energy and oil and gas sectors.

He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Organisational Development from the UCC/OCIC-UK, Diploma in Mine Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology School of Mines, Tarkwa, Ghana and is presently pursuing an MA Programme in Organisational Development from the UCC/OCIC-UK. He has attended and participated in Professional Development Programmes (PDPs) locally and internationally. He is a member of the African Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (AACVA) a member organisation of NACVA of the United States, the world largest business valuation professional body.

Areas of focus: Strategy, advisory, business valuation

Bennet Kpentey is a Strategy and Financial Consultant and a qualified Business valuation professional with twenty (20) years professional experience. He is the Chief Executive and Managing Consultant of Sync Consult, a management and financial consulting Firm operating from Ghana. He is currently a lecturer in Strategic Management at the University of Ghana Business School as well as The Graduate Institute in Geneva, Switzerland.
Prior to establishing Sync Consult, he worked with Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu, West Africa and PricewaterhouseCoopers African Central in management positions.
Among his relevant experience, Bennet has provided leadership in a wide range of advisory work in fundings several projects with a cumulative size exceeding US$1.5 billion. He has also provided leadership in feasibility studies across several sectors and the development of information memoranda for raising financing and M&A transactions. He is a qualified business valuator and has undertaken several business valuations work, including valuation of intangible assets for financial institutions, hotels, educational institutions, technology firms, real estate firms and manufacturing establishments.
He is the President of the African Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (AACVA), a member organisation of the world’s largest business valuation organisation,

NACVA of the United States. Between 2010 and 2014, he served on the IFRS Committee (USA) which was set up in 2010 to make presentations to the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) on valuation issues for the harmonisation of GAAP and IFRS

Bennet co-authored the Enterprise Map (2012), a book on the industrial sector of Ghana. He, in addition, was one of thirteen international business valuation professionals who co-authored “Guide to Fair Value under IFRS” a complete guide for business valuation under IFRS in May 2010.
Bennet holds an MA in International Relations (Economics Major) from the International University of Japan (1994) and a BA in Economics and Geography from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana (1992). He is a Chartered Professional Consultant (CPC) from the American Consultants League (2000) and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) from NACVA (2006). He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration (Finance) at the Walden University in Minnesota, United States of America.
His professional memberships include AACVA (Accra, Ghana) and NACVA (Salt Lake City, USA). He is also a member of the Strategic Management Society headquartered in the USA.
